The Tax Development Journal was founded in 2008 to take advantage of opportunities presented by the establishment of the Bookstein Institute for Higher Education in Taxation, the M.S. in Taxation Program at Cal State Northridge, and graduate tax students' interest in editing and writing on tax related issues. The Tax Development Journal is a Cal State Northridge organization managed by graduate tax students and supervised by a faculty editor-in-chief. Though students play a crucial role, supporters such as faculty advisors, the Bookstein Institute for Higher Education in Taxation and other sponsors have provided generous support and guidance
